Shoulder Brace With Abduction Brace– Product Introduction
1. Function of This Shoulder Brace
This shoulder abduction brace securely holds your arm in a safe, elevated position to support optimal healing. Designed for post-surgery or injury recovery, it protects your shoulder by preventing soft tissues and healing bones from being pulled, strained, or re-injured during daily movements.
2. When You Need It
This brace provides essential stabilization and is recommended for:
Rotator Cuff Repair: Post-surgical immobilization and protection.
Shoulder Dislocation: Stabilization after a dislocated shoulder has been professionally reset.
Proximal Humerus Fractures: Support for upper arm fractures located near the shoulder joint.
Other Shoulder Surgeries: Use as specifically directed by your orthopedic surgeon or healthcare provider.
3. Safe Wearing Guidelines
To ensure a safe and effective recovery, please follow these important rules:
Follow Medical Advice: Wear the brace continuously for the 4 to 6 weeks (or specific duration) prescribed by your doctor. Never remove it prematurely without medical approval.
Prevent Stiffness: Gently move your elbow, wrist, and fingers every day while wearing the brace to maintain healthy blood circulation and prevent joint stiffness.
Monitor Your Skin: Check the skin under the brace at least 3 times a day. If you notice red spots, soreness, numbness, or cold fingers, loosen the straps immediately and consult your doctor.
Safe Movement: When getting out of bed, always use your uninjured arm to support and hold the brace first. Do not push yourself up using your injured shoulder.
4. When to Contact Your Doctor
Stop using the brace as directed and seek immediate medical attention if you experience any of the following:
Severe or worsening pain that does not subside.
Skin sores, blisters, or persistent numbness/tingling in your hand or fingers.
The brace feels too loose or too tight, even after adjusting the straps.
