Rehabilitation Patella Belt
The patella belt is a lightweight orthopedic protector designed for the anterior knee area. Its core functions are to stabilize the patella and disperse the pressure on the patellar tendon.
(1) Typical Symptoms of Applicable Users:
a. Patellar tendinitis (jumper’s knee): Obvious soreness right below the knee when running, jumping, or going up and down stairs.
b. Chondromalacia patellae: Clear rubbing sensation on the front of the knee when bending and extending the knee, and pain gets worse after squatting and standing up.
c. Mild patellar instability: The knee occasionally gives way during exercise, with a slight slipping feeling of the patella.
d. Sports injury prevention: For people who take part in frequent knee-bending and jumping sports such as basketball, running and rope skipping, to prevent anterior knee strain.
(2) Core Functions of the Patella Belt:
a. Precise compression to disperse pressure: The built-in pad presses exactly on the patellar tendon, spreading the impact force from running and jumping evenly.
b. Stabilize patellar movement track: It guides the patella to slide along the correct track in the femoral trochlea, and reduces cartilage friction.
c. Improve proprioception: Users can clearly perceive the position of their knee after wearing the brace, so as to avoid incorrect force application that aggravates injuries.
(3) Precautions for Use:
a. The correct wearing position is one finger’s width directly below the patella. Never place the pad directly on the patella bone.
b. For severe ligament tears, meniscus injuries and obvious fractures, do not rely only on the patella brace for treatment. Seek clinical medical help in time.
c. Do not wear the brace all day long for a long period. It may lead to decreased strength of the quadriceps femoris. Remove the brace in time after finishing exercise.
