Foot Brace, or foot support brace, is an external support device for your foot and ankle.
It works to keep your foot and ankle stable, adjust the pressure on your sole, and take extra load off injured parts.
It fits many daily and medical uses: sports lovers use it to stop repeated ankle sprains, people with mild ligament strains use it to limit wrong movements and heal faster. It also helps people with foot drop, flat feet or plantar fasciitis walk better and feel less pain when moving.
You do not need to pick an overly tight, super rigid brace. For mild discomfort, an off-the-shelf brace with adjustable straps works well. If you have clear foot deformity or long-term walking problems, see a doctor first and get a custom brace if needed. Take it off for a short time every few hours. Do not wear it 24 hours a day, and never use it to replace foot and ankle strength training.
